We looked for a long time to get good quality, fresh hand cut chips and found Tarrawanna a year or so ago. Their food never dissapoints and we have been regulars ever since.
Amazing fish, fish cakes, pineapple fritters. Got a large order ready very quickly and extremely busy on a weekday afternoon. The chips were a bit overdone, nothing a lot of chilli sauce didn't solve. Would def stop by and have some by one of the beaches. Just remember to drink water for the next 3 days because the oil is deep in it.
Friendly, nice family, best fish and chips in the Illawarra. The chips are old style, great potato scallops, and the fish was white and firm. Delicious.
Despite the few recent reviews that had rated it low, we enjoyed the fish, scallop sweet potatoes, calamari and prawn cutlets we ordered for dinner tonight. This is the second time we bought food from here since it changed hands. Prices are very reasonable and portions generous. We have no complaints.
Filling the shoe's of Vera and family was a big call for the best fish and chips and burgers, it was a big call the new family has not only filled the boots they tied up the laces and kicked the ball through the posts. Highly recommend for the step back in time traditional style best fish and chips.
